We are two small
country houses with lots of history. Both houses are situated in “La
Costa del Montseny”, which is a little town, ideal for short
or long stays.
Dr A. Von Domarus, in his book “Manual Práctico de
Medicina Interna”, translated by Dr. P. Farreras, in 1938,
talking about breathing illnesses, mentions “La Costa del
Montseny”, together with the Black Forest in Germany,
as privilege places for their healthy climate.

“Can
Saleta” is first mentioned in 1714, when one of its inhabitants
was deadly wounded by the troops of Don Diego González. At
the beginning of the 19th century, its inhabitants, apart from ploughing
the land, opened the house as a “tabern”, where
people from the town on Sundays went to have a chat, play cards
and drink wine. In 1960, the house was fully reformed, and in 1983
it opened as a Holiday House. |

“Can
Patolla” has its origins in the 18th century.
It was first known as “La Casa de Jubany”.
It is not until the beginning of the 19th century that
it is first called “Can Patolla”. Legend has
it, that one day, the vicar of the place in front of all the church
goers told a man form this house, that he was a “patolla”
(term used to describe someone who mixes up things). After this
incident, not only him, but all the members of the house were known
by the same word. In 1978 the house was modified as we know it today. |
